I’m originally from Liverpool (LFC supporter!) but have travelled quite a bit because of my husband's previous work. We spent a few years in Luxembourg, our kids were born in America and for the last few years we have lived in Staffordshire. We moved to Doncaster in November 2011.

I have two children who are both students in Manchester and Liverpool so they sometimes have time to meet up with us in Liverpool, where my family still live.

I enjoy gardening, running and walking and am looking forward to getting settled in a house here and exploring South Yorkshire.

I have always been interested in potatoes. I grow, cook and eat them so I am really delighted to have joined Higgins, a real potato company.

My family are also important to me, my wife Maretta is a midwife and our three children are all studying and travelling.

I coach and play cricket in Turriff and play squash regularly. I enjoy looking after our large garden and take great pleasure in taking prizes at our local shows. I love Scotland and really enjoy travelling around and doing some hill-walking and mountain biking.
